The Preface from Patron Huw Edwards can be seen below -
I have a confession to make. Before last year I hadn’t even heard of LINKS. It follows that I had no idea of the wonderful work being done.
I was asked to launch their new premises in November 2010 and was genuinely impressed with what I found.
Since that time I have become a patron of the organisation and am delighted to be associated with this valuable cause. LINKS is all about enriching people's lives. We should all support it.
What LINKS provides is an essential service.
It fills a great big gap in provision to support members with a variety of opportunities.
From art and outdoor pursuits to creative writing and film-making, the range of activity is striking.
Some of the proof of success can be enjoyed in this volume: this is evidence of the real difference that creative therapy can make in people’s lives.
In a landmark year of progress and community involvement, this book marks yet another milestone for LINKS and its members.
Getting a book published is no mean feat. I am certainly struck by the quality and variety of the work.
It is a great tribute to the members, the volunteers and the staff.
Congratulations to all of you and please do keep up the excellent work.
