Bynea firm fined for unlicensed skip in Llanelli
A Bynea skip company has been fined by Carmarthen magistrates for putting an unlicensed skip in a Llanelli lane. Skip Solutions Ltd manager Gary Samuel pleaded guilty on behalf of the company to an offence contrary to Section 139 Highways Act 1980. The court was told that two Carmarthenshire County Council environmental enforcement officers were in a lane to the rear of Albert Street, Llanelli, in response to a complaint from the Street Works section of the county council regarding an unlicensed builder’s skip being deposited in the lane. The skip had no identification markings. The householder provided the details of Skip Solutions. The company failed to reply to a letter from the council and on the phone denied having received the letter and said it had no record of putting a skip there.
