The George Melly Sculpture Appeal will have a high profile at the Brecon Jazz Weekend later this month. Melly lived locally and was huge supporter of the jazz festival. Boost for George Melly Sculpture Appeal

The George Melly Sculpture Appeal is delighted to announce a series of events in Brecon on Friday 29th October culminating in a charity art auction at St Mary's Church in aid of the appeal. Highlights of October 29th include: 12 pm at St Mary's Church, High Street, Brecon, LD3 7AA The first unveiling of the artist's model by Diana Melly. Artist Bruce Williams has been selected to create a public art work to celebrate the life of George Melly. 2.30 pm at The George Hotel, George Street, Brecon, LD3 7LD A "Meet the Artist" session and audio visual presentation by Bruce Williams.
