Life Skills project launched in Carmarthenshire
An exciting new project aimed at helping parents and carers is being launched in rural Carmarthenshire next week. The first session of Sgiliau Byw (Life Skills) will take place at the Cylch Meithrin in Llanddarog on Monday November 7. This is an innovative project working with parents, carers and pre-school children to improve literacy, numeracy, communication and general parenting skills through a series of activities which emphasise learning through fun. Sgiliau Byw will take place over six weekly sessions which are based on specific themes, including basic cookery, living a healthy lifestyle, exercising and keeping fit, sharing books and stories and singing nursery rhymes.
