Regeneration work a boost for Ammanford
Regeneration work in Ammanford has provided an attractive gateway into the town. Work has progressed rapidly, with improvement works at Arcade Square and Margaret Street now complete. Detailed proposals for Quay Street are being finalised and were discussed at the last stakeholders Steering Group meeting held in February. At this meeting representatives from various stakeholder groups discussed the proposals with Carmarthenshire County Council Officers and will now report back to their various affiliations. Further liaison with the business community will be undertaken before work starts. A new independent traders group has been formed following the recent Skillsmart Location Model Survey and will be kept fully informed on how the scheme will progress.
