ICT boost for Pantyffynnon
Pantyffynnon residents are now able to access a state-of-the-art ICT suite right on their doorstep and gain the qualifications needed for work with learndirect. The courses are delivered online, which make it the most flexible way of learning today. Pantyffynnon Communities First was one of the first centres of excellence for ICT in the Western Valleys. The Get IT on project is funded by the Western Valleys initiative, with the aim of developing community hubs, with the latest technology. Communities First development worker Emma Martin-Jewell said: “We are extremely fortunate that now we are able to deliver training courses, workshops, interactive learning, and digital conferencing all in one place, right here in Pantyffynnon.” One learner, Marjorie Grimwade, was one of the first to sign up to the learndirect course.
