Investment in new facilities for mums and babies in 'Hywel Dda'
Residents across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire will benefit from new facilities for mums and babies. The Hywel Dda University Health Board has already significantly invested in a new unit maternity unit at Bronglais Hospital and this investment continues in new and refurbished facilities at Glangwili and Withybush Hospitals. A new unit for premature and sick newborn babies at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen will have four high dependency cots, eight special care cots and one stabilisation cot. The new facilities will also have specialist teams offering premature and sick newborn babies the best levels of care for them and their families. New modern midwife led units are also been created at Glangwili and Withybush Hospitals with four additional delivery suites being built at Glangwili Hospital.
