The Jenkins Bakery is once again celebrating its Investors in People status. The bakery has had its IoP status reaffirmed for a further three years. "The IoP benchmark isn't given out as a matter of right; you have to work for it," said the Jenkins Bakery’s company secretary and director David Jenkins. "We were delighted to first achieve 'Investors' status several years ago and getting the award reaffirmed says a lot for the fact that we are continuing to do the right things. "The award reflects great credit on our staff and I congratulate them for all the hard work that has gone into achieving a benchmark which receives universal recognition in the world of business and industry." Investors award for Menter Cwm Gwendraeth

Menter Cwm Gwendraeth has become the first Menter Iaith in Wales to win an Investors in People Award. The good news comes just a month before the Gwendraeth Valley-based Welsh language venture celebrates its 20th birthday. The Welsh Assembly Government’s Investors in People (IiP) standard is designed to help businesses improve their performance and results by making the most of their staff. It aims to improve staff management and development, and maximise employees' potential, enabling them to develop new skills. Menter Cwm Gwendraeth Director Deris Williams said that working with Investors in People was proving to be a real catalyst for positive change in the way the company works. South Wales bakery business celebrates awards double

Everything’s on the rise at a leading South Wales bakery business as they celebrate two landmark achievements. Jenkins the Bakers, a third generation family business based in Llanelli, has achieved the Gold Standard Welsh Food Hygiene Award. And the firm has also had the rubber stamp put on its Investors in People award, a benchmark certificate which was first awarded to the firm back in 2004. “They are great achievements for us and a huge amount of praise is due to our hard-working staff, who have helped us land these two major awards,” said Operations Director Russell Jenkins.
