Vote for Carmarthen special needs and autism unit
People are being asked to support Myrddin Special Unit in Carmarthen which has been named as a finalist in a national competition to win an £80,000 classroom. The Special Needs and Autism Unit was selected from almost 400 schools that entered the competition run by education magazine Times Educational Supplement (TES). It will now battle it out against five other shortlisted schools in a public vote to win the Clearspace Education classroom. The competition was open to all primary and secondary schools in the UK. The panel of five judges was impressed with Myrddin’s plan to create an Assistive Technology Centre which would provide life-changing technology for their students with severe learning difficulties.
