The latest 'On Song'column (about the choral scene in and around Llanelli) from the Llanelli Star - He’s something of a living legend in Wales. The tenor Trebor Edwards will feature in a special Gala Concert staged by Loud Applause Productions in Kidwelly on Saturday (July 19). The concert is being held at the Princess Gwenllian Centre, Kidwelly, with Theatrau Sir Gar selling tickets on behalf of Loud Applause. Well known for his rendition of ‘Un Dydd ar y Tro’,Trebor Edwards is one of Wales’s famous lyrical tenors. Surprisingly, he has not performed in this area for a number of years. He is one of the most successful recording artists the Welsh recording industry has seen, with album sales well in excess of a quarter of a million. He lives in Betws Gwerful Goch, near Corwen, where he farmed until his recent retirement, and is still in demand at concerts and festivals all over Wales and beyond.
