Alex Newman leads the way in Girls' Medal at 'The Ash'
Pontypridd's Alex Newman led the way in the Girls' Medal (0-36Hcp) at the Junior Open Day staged at The Ashburnham Championship Links Golf Club at Pembrey. The result was - 1 Alex Newman 64 nett (Pontypridd) 2 Sophie Lovatt 69nett (Tenby) 3 Megan Gurreiro 72nett (Tenby) Ashburnham member Nia Greville achieved the lowest gross score for the girls (81). Lowest Gross Boys – Lloyd Elliot (76) , Llantrisant & Pontyclun Golf Club. Six of the younger Ashburnham girls - Beca Morgan, Laila Francis, Amy Owens, Lucy Powell, Katie Burt and Dionne Protheroe - played a short 6-hole girls' competition.
