New Higher Education qualification for busy professionals
Aberystwyth University has teamed up with ASLIB and Emerald, key providers in information management services, to provide busy professionals across the globe with university accreditation in information leadership. ‘Pathways to Information Leadership’ is an online and e-learning professional development programme which offers over 25 courses for individuals who want to become, or aspire to be, information leaders. The initiative is to be launched at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Singapore from 17-23 August. Kirsten Ferguson-Boucher from the Department of Information Services explains, “The Pathways programme provides concise, bite sized University accredited courses that are designed to be completed as continuing professional development. “What is significant about this programme is that a person will be able to bank credits towards university awards at PG Certificate, PG Diploma and Master’s level.
