Ashburnham Golf Club manager Huw Morgan said members of the club were greatly saddened to hear the news of the death of Manhattan Marketing boss Gwyn Jacob. Mr Morgan said: "Mr Jacob was a very respected member of the club and his sister-in-law Iris Jacob is this year's Ladies Captain. "There will be refreshments for mourners at The Ash after the funeral on Thursday. "Mr Jacob's business at Manhattan Marketing was widely admired. "The firm had its roots in Pembrey, but now operated on an international level from Llanelli. "We understand that the family have requested donations in Mr Jacob's memory to the Marie Curie Nursing Fund, c/o funeral director Ian M Smith of Eric James Funeral Services, Trawscoed, Snowdon Rd, Burry Port." Sad to hear of the death of Manhattan Marketing boss Gwyn Jacob, at the age of 69. The funeral notice reads - Jacob, Gwyn (Manhattan Marketing) Very sadly on Wednesday Feb 1 2012, at Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen, Gwyn, aged 69 years of "Manhattan", Lando Rd, Pembrey; beloved husband of Mags, loved and devoted Dad of Karl and his daughter-in-law Jan, sadly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral on Thursday Feb 9, public service at St Mary's Church, Burry Port at 2.15pm, followed by a public cremation service at Llanelli Crematorium at 3.30pm.
