Plea for restrictions on hospital visiting
Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen, is currently affected by an outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting. Hospital visitors are being asked to help protect loved ones and other patients by not visiting if they themselves have had diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 48 hours, or if they have been contact with someone who has in the last 72 hours. It is also not advisable, for those with an existing medical condition that puts them at risk of infection to visit the hospital at this time. Family members can receive updates about loved ones in hospital from nursing staff over the telephone and fresh toiletries and personal items can be brought into front hall for delivery if necessary.
