BRITISH THRILLER ‘BY ANY NAME’ AWARDED DOUBLE ACCOLADE BY INTERNATIONAL JURY Welsh production company Tanabi Films, who produced ‘By Any Name’ movie based on the best-selling novel by Katherine John has been awarded Best Feature Film produced in Wales and Best Actress accolade for Samira Mohamed Ali from a plethora of entries around at this year’s prestigious North Wales International Film Festival. Samira Mohamed Ali stars as leading lady Dr Elizabeth Santer, a psychologist, who is taken hostage by John West, which is played by lead Actor and Combat expert Cengiz Dervis. Samira, currently the UK ambassador for Cerebra charity, had to undergo intensive personal training in order to keep up with the physical demands of the role. 'It's a wrap'! Filming of By Any Name, starring Samira Mohamed Ali, has been completed in Swansea and other South Wales locations in just three weeks. The project is based on the book by best selling Swansea-based author Katherine John (aka Catrin Collier). She has just released her 48th book title through Accent Press. She has now teamed up with Tanabi Films to produce an exciting action adventure movie. Tanabi Films have had the pleasure of producing By Any Name- a No.1 best seller on e-book Amazon and a bestseller in Germany, Poland, the US and UK. Shooting began on location in Swansea and 'wrapped' in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. The film is set for release late November. Burry Port social entrepreneur Kevin Green was among a team of sporting, business and showbiz personalities who lent their support to the 'Cerdded Ymlaen' (Walk On) charity trek for the Wales Air Ambulance. Green completed the first 22-mile leg of the trek from Swansea to Llanelli with the 'Cerdded' team. The first leg was sponsored by TV, film and multi-platform production company Tanabi. Euros Jones-Evans represented Tanabi on the walk. Green said afterwards: "It was a glorious, scorching hot day and the walk took us from Swansea city centre to Mumbles and then over to Llanelli. I have the blisters to prove it, but it was well worth it as the team were raising money for the Wales Air Ambulance, which is a great cause."
