Quality marque for National Botanic Garden of Wales

The Welsh tourism industry’s quality marque for attractions has been awarded to the National Botanic Garden of Wales in Llanarthne, near Carmarthen. In its 2010 assessment, the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Service (VAQAS) said the Garden “comfortably merits” the accreditation. VAQAS inspector Huw Thomas praised the maintenance of the grounds and buildings; customer service; the interpretive panels; and plant labelling. He goes on to say: “The continuing growth and development of the Garden and exhibits together with the changing seasons, mean that there is usually something new for visitors to see on each visit.” Garden director, Dr Rosetta Plummer, was delighted with the mystery shopper-style report.
