Withybush Hospital’s new £7.8m renal unit now complete
Withybush Hospital’s new £7.8m renal unit is now complete and will be opened to patients in the summer. The 21-station, state of the art renal unit was built and completed on schedule by the University Health Board at the Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, hospital on behalf of the Welsh Renal Network. The Welsh Renal Network is responsible for appointing renal service providers and negotiations are in final stages with the contract award expected by the end of May 2014. County Director and commissioner, Sue Lewis said: “The new renal unit is a major investment at Withybush Hospital and contains all the latest technology expected in a modern renal dialysis unit.
