At the first meeting for diocesan members of the St David's Mothers' Union held in Aberaeron, President Brenda Evans (second from right) welcomes all who attended. In the group are Ann Gill, President of the Mothers' Union across Wales (right) and officers of the Mothers' Union in the St David's diocese. As diocesan members are not attached to individual branches, Brenda Evans felt that it was important for them to have an opportunity to meet other Mothers' Union members.

This autumn looks set to be a good time for having fun. The St Davids Diocese Mothers' Union is arranging a series of Family Fun Days during September and early October. There will be a range of activities on offer and plenty of craft ideas to try out. The Fun Days are free of charge and families can join in with all the activities on offer. Picnics may be brought but there will be hot dogs and refreshments available. There were 132 brilliantly inventive decorated tea cosies auctioned at the St Davids Diocese Mothers' Union Welsh Afternoon Tea Party in Bancyfelin village hall. The event was opened by President, Brenda Evans, who said how much she appreciated the superb display of tea cosies all of which would help raise awareness of the Mothers' Union’s Wheels Appeal which supports members in distant lands as they work for families in need.    The winner of the best tea cosy competition was Grace Alibson, leader of the Cardigan Mothers' Union branch. Her tea cosy was so beautifully embroidered on the Mothers' Union logo theme that it is being kept for Diocesan occasions.  Ann Gill, the Wales Provincial Mothers' Union President, who was present on the day, congratulated the winner.
