Services for deaf and hard of hearing in Carmarthenshire
People who are deaf and hard of hearing are being encouraged to take advantage of the services Carmarthenshire County Council provides to aid them with everyday living. As well as a range of equipment for use around the home, a British Sign Language interpretation service is also available to support residents during any appointments they have with council officers. More recently, a range of text and video-based services have been developed, including BSL videos on the council website. The council can also help put people in touch with Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deafblind clubs in the area.
