The Beach Break Live event targets university students who have recently completed end of year exams, and offers a range of activities including sports, games, dance, arts and theatre alongside music, bars and food. It could attract up to 25,000 young people to the area and generate a substantial income for the Country Park. However, there are opposing views amongst the public with a number of concerns expressed by Burry Port and Pembrey Town Council, against an online petition of support signed by thousands of young people. The executive board determined that more information and facts were needed before a final decision could be taken, and that could best be done through the licensing process. Full consultation would also be carried ...
