Fund gives two Carmarthenshire businesses a lift
Two Carmarthenshire businesses are being helped to set up new ventures in the county thanks to the South West Wales Property Development Fund. Bassett, MacGregor & Ash is building office space on the Quay in Carmarthen and Davies Richards Llys Aur Ltd is developing two industrial buildings at Llanelli Gate. The South West Wales Property Development Fund (PDF) has been part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government. This regional scheme is being led by Carmarthenshire County Council in partnership with City and County of Swansea, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, Pembrokeshire County Council and the Welsh Government. The scheme has been up and running since 2009 and over the next couple of months it is hoped to award £8.6m in gap funding for office and industrial developments across the region.
