Helping hand for young athletes in West Wales
SportsAid Cymru Wales (SACW) would like to pay a special tribute to the hard-working members of its West Wales Committee – and their many supporters - who once again staged a spectacularly successful, sell-out, sports celebrity/business lunch at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel in Carmarthen in April 2015, raising up to £5,000. Highlight of the afternoon (apart from humorous contributions from the Rev Canon Dorrien Davies and Julian Lewis-Jones, one of the stars of Stella and Invictus) was the presentation of SACW Keith Cobain Awards to promising young athletes from the region, made by Keith’s widow Barbara.
