Hywel Dda Health Board | Equality Plan for Public Health Wales approved A plan which sets out the principles of the organisation’s commitment to equality and diversity has been adopted.  The Strategic Equality Plan provides a focus of work for protecting the health and wellbeing of the people of Wales. The plan outlines the key equality objectives, the steps Public Health Wales is taking to meet them and, where possible, the timescales for achieving them. The plan identifies seven broad areas of work where Public Health Wales has the greatest opportunity to advance equality, eliminate discrimination and foster good relations.

Carmarthenshire County Council is preparing a plan on how it will treat people equally as an employer, a provider of services and as a community leader. The Strategic Equality Plan will be published on April 2 and outlines how the council will meet its responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 and the Specific Duties for Wales.
