Hywel Dda team thanks Maggie Davies and University for support
Hywel Dda University Health Board’s preparation to introduce Midwifery Led Units at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen and at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest has been supported by an expert midwife over the past few months. Maggie Davies, Consultant Midwife at Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University HB, has more than 40 years of experience and has been on hand to provide expert advice and support to midwives working in Hywel Dda. Head of Midwifery and Women’s Health, Catherine Cotter, said: “Midwife Led Units are designed for women who want to deliver in a homely and relaxed atmosphere whilst being cared for by midwives who are experts in normal births and throughout the process Maggie’s insight and experience in introducing Midwife Led Units has been invaluable to us during our planning and preparation.
