£1,300 grant for Bwlch motorbiking project
Morfa Youth Forum has received a £1,300 grant from GwirVol to develop the Bwlch motorbiking project. GwirVol is an initiative made up of a partnership from the voluntary, community, public and private sectors. CAVS Volunteer Centre has put together a panel of young people, representatives from youth organisations within Carmarthenshire, who will be responsible for assessing project applications and deciding which projects get funding, and how much they get. The Youth Forum will use the money to encourage young people to volunteer on the new Bwlch motorbiking project. The Forum’s aim is to represent all the youth of Morfa and the surrounding area within Glanymor. Through interaction with local young people, it has become clear that motorbike scrambling is a pursuit that young people are passionate about and they continually enquire about the opportunity to partake in this activity.
