Estyn gives Carmarthenshire service a good report
Carmarthenshire’s Workstep service has received a glowing report from Estyn, the inspectorate for education and training in Wales. The service, run by Carmarthenshire County Council, provides tailored support to find, secure and retain jobs for people who face barriers because of disability. In six out of seven key areas, Workstep achieved inspection grade one for displaying outstanding features. Among the areas that stood out to inspectors was the overall quality of training and assessment - described as outstanding - and the quality and range of support for Workstep clients - described as exceptional. Leadership and management was also described as excellent, with clients and employers receiving a consistently high quality of service from staff. All-in-all, the report found Workstep provides outstanding value for money.
