An evening of Music and song in the company of Cor Merched Glannau'r Gwendraeth with SA15 (Stage school, Llanelli ) and "Lleisiau Hardd", a mixed youth choir. To be held on Friday, November 25th at 7:30 pm in Pontyates Welfare Hall. Admission £7:00 for adults and £3:00 for school children. The latest 'On Song' column about the choral scene in Llanelli (sadly, not used by the Llanelli Star today) -  All eyes will be on the ‘Night With The Stars’ event at Ffwrnes theatre, Llanelli, on Saturday, November 16. The concert will be in aid of Wales’s pancreatic cancer charity Amser Justin Time and is a sell-out. Shan Cothi, who set up the charity in memory of her late husband, will be headlining the evening. Shan will be joined by the very popular baritone Mark Llewelyn Evans. Mark will be performing some songs from his new album ‘This Guy’s in Love’. The two stars will be supported by Côr Meibion Llanelli, making a welcome return to the theatre after their popular ‘annual concert’. Also performing will be the young up-and-coming musical theatre star Samuel Morris. Meanwhile, the ladies of Côr Curiad are off on tour! Lleisiau Hardd will be performing this Saturday at Theatr Elli, Llanelli. Tickets are priced £7 each and it will be a fabulous evening with music for everyone. The choir was fromed in 2005 and is made up of choristers from 6-11 in Cor Bach to 30 something in the senior choir. This makes the choir unique in Wales. The choir will be singing everything from Hafan Gobaith to One day More and Chasing Cars to Sister Act.
