Major works due to start at Pont Abraham roundabout
Major maintenance works to Pont Abraham Roundabout are programmed to commence on Tuesday 19th June 2012. The works are being carried out on behalf of the South Wales Trunk Road Agent acting for the Welsh Government. The main contractor will be Tarmac Limited with Atkins, as the Consulting Engineer, supervising the works. These essential maintenance works include the waterproofing of two bridge decks that will be carried out, subject to weather conditions, over two weekends. Lane closures will be in place between 20:00hrs on the Friday and 06:00hrs on the following Monday. As soon as the waterproofing work is complete the re-surfacing work will follow and be undertaken during nighttime only. This will require road closures on the M4 between junctions 48 and 49 and on the A48 between Pont Abraham and Cross Hands.
