Doing so now, just for the record) -  Carmarthen Town’s second phase Welsh Premier League matches will be delayed due to a decision by a FAW disciplinary Panel to deduct Gap Connah’s Quay one league point Connah’s Quay were found guilty by a Football Association of Wales Disciplinary Panel of fielding an ineligible player. The panel decided to deduct the club one Welsh Premier League point and fine them £250 for fielding Lee Davey as a late substitute in the league match against Carmarthen Town (5/1/13). Davey had previously played for Colwyn Bay FC and Conwy Borough FC during the present season and, while he was entitled to register for Connah’s Quay, participating for three teams in one season is not permitted. Connah’s Quay has seven business days in which to appeal the decision. The club is perfectly within its rights to appeal the decision. The Welsh Premier Lea...

The latest 'View from Richmond Park' Carmarthen Town AFC column from the Carmarthen Journal newspaper - A last minute winner by Carmarthen Town full back Gavin Rees gave his team a 3-2 victory over Afan Lido in the second round of the Football Association of Wales Youth Cup last Sunday. The match at Richmond Park was a full bloodied affair with the Old Gold having Ross Jones red-carded on the hour mark for a foul and also picking up six other yellow cards. Carmarthen took the lead after 18 minutes when a spectacular 30-yard free-kick from Iestyn Evans found the bottom of the visitor's net. Afan Lido equalised with a similar effort 15 minutes later and then took the lead early in the second period. Manager Peter Fearn changed his team's formation 10 minutes from time, the move paying off when Callum Jackson equalised also immediately. The work involves the preparation, maintenance and repair of the football pitch for all matches involving the various teams representing Carmarthen Town. In particular, grass cutting, divot repair/replacement, chain harrowing, pitch marking and grooming work will ensure that the best possible playing surface is available for the teams. New recruits will work as a coordinated team with Richmond Park’s current groundsman.
