Latest news from the team at Brecon Jazz Club -  Jazz FEB - Juan Galiardo Trio: Tues 23 Feb / T and T and Wellington. Well, you turned out in spectacular fashion to support our new year / January club event - thank you. There is a great feature on this fyi, see link at end. Now we must look to 23rd February, and our visiting Spanish jazz pianist, Juan Galiardo. Let us give him a warm welcome, because the weather may not be, and he's leaving a sunny homeland for his February visit to Wales! The ensemble features sax, guitar and piano in the lineup, and you will recall the outstanding performances of Aidan and Mark (bass, drums) with guest musicians from Spain earlier this year. Latest news from the Brecon Jazz Club team -  Hello everyone - some Brecon Jazz Festival (BJF) concert updates - THAT HAMMOND (ORGAN) SOUND! If like us you love the sound of the Hammond organ in a jazz set, then our 'ORGANIC' concert is for you. Actually, there isn't anyone who doesn't like the Hammond organ, is there? The only Hammond in the festival this year, we've booked leading artist Jean-paul Gard and he will be fronting with a festival favourite, the wonderful Saxophonist, Dominic Norcross. Yes, you will have heard Dominic play at our jazz club, and perhaps on Festival strollers & fringe gigs too in the past. You won't have heard him team up his Welsh sax virtuosity with the Hammond organ! This is a special, and they are here with a fantastic team of John Davies on guitar and Eddie John on drums. Latest news from the Brecon Jazz Club team -  Hello everyone Summer is here at last, and so already is our July jazz night (Tuesday, July 15)! Trefor Owen and Andy Hulme (guitars) play in the style of 'Shearing Sounds', with some of those great numbers... 'Lullaby of Birdland' and so on. They delighted as a quartet last year at our BJ Festival concert, and now a chance to see the duo up close. See you there, Theatr Brycheiniog, 8pm, for a lovely evening... Eating: Theatr's Tipple n Tiffin bistro will be open on the night; the Lansdowne buffet is at 26, so you might want to spread out this month.
