Spring is coming and we've had some great jazz already this year!
April's Jazz Club is a real 'special' and this month, the supper will be at the theatr bistro, the Tipple n Tiffin.

Tuesday 14 April, Atsuko Shimada Quintet, starts 8pm, £7 on the door incl. raffle
Mainstream jazz standards, ballads, swing, uptempo and reflective numbers from a fantastic Quintet ensemble.

Atsuko Shimada is a graduate of the famous Berklee School of Jazz, Boston and influenced by Duke Ellington, Art Blakey, Joanne Brackeen, Lee Morgan and Juan Galiardo amongst others. She has played concerts in Spain, Japan and the United States, and is now resident in Andalucia, where she teaches music and plays regularly at Gibraltar Jazz Club. Tonight, Atsuko performs with an all star cast from Wales and the Borders, with jazz standards and ballads of the mainstream repertoire.

Advance info: May's jazz club will be on Tues 19 May and will feature vocalist Emily Saunders from London, playing with the fantastic Dave Cottle Trio, and jazz supper at the Bijou cafe.
