BBC News - Police appeal after pedal cyclist and lorry collide between Carmarthen and St Clears A cyclist has suffered serious injuries in a road crash with a lorry in Carmarthenshire. Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision on the A40 between Carmarthen and St Clears in Carmarthenshire on Wednesday. A spokesperson said the man suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.

One man, believed to be in his 30s, was initially taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital by air ambulance and later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. His condition is said to be stable.

This involved a motorcycle and a Subaru vehicle. “The rider of the bike and the driver of the car were both taken to hospital but unfortunately the rider later died from his injuries,” said roads policing Inspector Dyfed Bolton. “The driver of the car is still critical at Morriston Hospital."
