New Coroner for Carmarthenshire

Carmarthenshire’s new Coroner has signed the Oath of Office at County Hall.
On November 1 Mark Layton took over as Coroner for Carmarthen as well as the Pembrokeshire jurisdiction together with Gareth Lewis the Deputy Coroner.
Mr Layton was appointed Coroner for Pembrokeshire in 2009. He is a practising solicitor and a Deputy District Judge.
Mr Layton is pictured signing the Oath in the Chairman’s Room at County Hall in the presence of Council Chair Cllr Ivor Jackson and Chief Executive Mark James.
