Universities opening doors to business
Universities in South West Wales are teaming up to explain how they can help businesses in the region.
The University of Wales Trinity St David, the Swansea Metropolitan University and Swansea University have formed the Dragon Innovation Partnership.
They are staging an Open forum event at the Quinnell Room at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli on Thursday, June 23 (10am-3pm).
A spokesman explained:
"Working in partnership with a university, organisations can gain access to a wide range of opportunities for growing business, including -
Funding
Training and consultancy
Access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology
Graduate placements
Knowledge and expertise
Research
And much more . . .
The three universities in the region (University of Wales Trinity St David, the Swansea Metropolitan University and Swansea University) are working through the Dragon Innovation Partnership and in collaboration with the Welsh Government to bring together all of their project, initiatives and funding opportunities under one roof to provide you with an opportunity to take your business to new heights.
The event will also give businesses the opportunity to promote their products and services to exhibitors and network with other local businesses.
The Welsh Assembly Government Regional Centre Service will also be able to give impartial information and guidance that is tailored to your particular business.
The service is delivered by a partnership of local authorities in South West Wales and provides support in three key areas - general business management, Human Resources/Equality and diversity, and environmental management.
There is no charge for attending the event. For more information and to pre-register, contact Nicola Powell on 01792 481163 or at nicola.powell@smu.ac.uk"
