Llandeilo man prosecuted over caravan

A Llandeilo man has been prosecuted for failing to remove a static caravan kept on his land without planning permission.
Carmarthenshire County Council enforcement officers had issued Mark White with a Planning Enforcement Notice to remove the static caravan from his land at Llwyn y Bedw, Capel Isaac, Llandeilo.
He was also served with a Section 215 Notice to remove various steel containers, scrap materials, vehicles and scrap vehicles.
Ammanford Magistrates Court heard that White did not comply with either of the Notices served, so the council proceeded with prosecution.
White, who pleaded guilty to offences under Sections 179 and 216 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, was fined a total of £300 and ordered to pay £200 towards prosecution costs.
