Memorable musical summer soiree at Llanelly House
The event was staged by Sue Roberts, one of the trustees of Llanelly House, and her husband Peter.
It marked something of a first for Llanelly House, with characters from the building's history 'coming to life' for the occasion.
It was also an opportunity for guests at the soiree to tour the house and view the new interactive digital features which have been installed in Llanelly House.
The music for the occasion was organised by Cerith Owens, the director of Llanelli-based Loud Applause Productions.
The soloists for the evening were Jordan Williams, Keely Morgan, violinist Simmy Singh and harpist Ffion Elin Williams.
With the staircase of the Great Hallway at Llanelly House as their stage, the musical entertainment provided an elegant accompaniment to a unique social occasion, which also featured a surprise birthday cake presentation to Mrs Sue Roberts.
Violinist Simmy Singh played the haunting Ashokan Farewell, a famous piece of music featured in the American series 'The Civil War' and a regularly requested favourite on the classical music channels.
Jordan Williams performed Anfonaf Angel and Stars from Les Miserables.
Keely Morgan's performance took in Nella Fantasia (a song in Italian based on the theme "Gabriel's Oboe" from the film The Mission), Summertime, Waltz Of My Heart and Voi Che Sapete by Mozart.
Harpist Ffion Elin Williams wove a rich tapestry of musical favourites, while the accompanist for the evening was Andrew Pike.
Guests at the soiree were welcomed to the house by the colourful figure of William Chambers Junior, Master of Llanelly House, played by Rev Eldon Phillips.
During their tour, the guests also met up with other Llanelly House 'real life' characters Mira Turner, the Upper House Maid, Charles Howell, Head Butler to the Chambers family, Mrs Howell, the disgruntled wife of Charles Howell, and Mr Thomas, the doctor to the Chambers family.
Guests were also treated to a selection of culinary delights throughout the evening, as provided by Llanelly House Head Chef Anna Brown.
