The latest 'View from Richmond Park' Carmarthen AFC column

The latest 'View from Richmond Park' Carmarthen Town AFC column from the Carmarthen Journal -
Carmarthen Town AFC has launched a special website which gives shoppers the chance to snatch up some Christmas bargains and, in turn, help the club make money.
The site is at - www.spendandraise.com/carmarthentownafc
Executive committee member Paul Ashley-Jones said: “Christmas is getting closer by the day. If you shop on the internet, then please remember our new fundraising website www.spendandraise.com/carmarthentownafc
“Please visit the site as you can get yourself some very good deals while raising money for the Club. There are a large number of companies participating including the following - Amazon, Spabreaks.com, HMV, Marks and Spencer, Play.com, Sky, WH Smiths and Gardening Direct.
“Any purchases made will earn the club a commission that will be received by our Club Shop. You pay exactly the same price as on the retailers main sites as the commission earned by us comes out of the retailers’ profit margin - it is their marketing spend. However, please remember you must make any purchases via our site otherwise we won’t get the commission.
“It’s not just for buying goods either. From getting your lottery ticket; insuring your pet; booking a cruise or switching your utility supplier; it can all be done through our site. Please take a look as we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. If you are, please tell your family and friends.”

Another public meeting to discuss the way forward for Carmarthen Town AFC has been called for Monday, December 5, at the clubhouse, starting at 7pm.
Club chair Gareth Jones said that there was an excellent response to the first public meeting called at the Richmond Park Community Centre and Clubhouse to discuss the future structure of Carmarthen Town AFC.
He said: “I am proposing a new management structure. I want the supporters and people of the town to come forward and be part of a vision for the future.
“There was a good response to the first meeting. Now we want to build on that to make sure we recruit new volunteers and discuss new ideas for raising money.”
