Jenkins Bakery celebrates National Cup Cake Week

The Jenkins Bakery is celebrating National Cup Cake Week.
The event is organised by the British Baker magazine and website.
To mark the occasion, the Llanelli-based bakery has produced four special cup cakes which will be on sale all this week and next week.
They are - 

COOKIE MONSTER CUP CAKE – 95p
Our top quality sponge topped with various flavoured frostings, covered in coloured vermicelli and decorated with chocolate Maltesers for eyes and a small shortbread biscuit for a mouth, a great one for children.

99 CUP CAKE – 95p
Our top quality sponge topped with vanilla and chocolate frosting and decorated with a chocolate flake.

BLACK FOREST CUP CAKE – 95p
Our top quality chocolate sponge, topped with swirls of vanilla and chocolate frosting to give a marbled effect and decorated with a cherry.

ROCKY ROAD CUP CAKE – 95p
Our top quality chocolate sponge, topped with various flavoured frostings, decorated with mini marshmallows, small chocolate balls and scattered with milk chocolate.

About National Cup Cake Week 


This event is brought to you by British Baker, the only industry title to cover the entire baking industry, including craft, ingredients, equipment, food-to-go, snacks, coffee shops, as well as plant bakery and supermarkets.
The week itself (16-22 September 2013) is designed to help promote the popularity of cup cakes in order to help bakery businesses boost their sales. We also encourage bakers to raise money for our partner charity CLIC Sargent, through fundraising during the week, or donating a percentage of their sales to the charity for children and young people with cancer.
In addition to National Cup Cake Week itself, we have an annual competition called the National Cup Cake Championships, which serves to celebrate and reward the talent in the cupcake industry. In 2013, the competition's fifth year, we have expanded it to include a consumer competition in addition to our already well-established professional competition.
