Sarah Ellen Hughes was lead vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) from 2005-2008. She has earned many accolades including as winner of the 2010 International Jazz Singing Competition, “Jazz Voices,” held in Lithuania. A semi-finalist in the 2011 Montreux Jazz singing competition, where Qunicy Jones told her, "great singing girl... keep doing what you're doing!".

Sarah Ellen joins the impressive Swansea outfit, from their residency at Swansea Jazzland.
Dave Cottle (piano) and Alun Vaughan (bass) of the Dave Cottle trio will join Sarah Ellen for an impressive lineup. They have accompanied most of the UK’s leading jazz performers and many international jazz artists over a decade and a half, and have an excellent reputation and following amongst the jazz community.
Making a welcome return to Brecon Jazz club, this time with vocals, it promises to be an upbeat evening of contemporary and jazz classics.
