Carmarthenshire old folk given internet boost
Older people in Carmarthenshire are being encouraged to get online.
Free 'How to...' computing and internet sessions for older people are being organised. The project is financially backed by the council-administered Community Cohesion Fund.
50+ Champion Cllr Kevin Madge said: “I am committed to getting as many older people online as possible. Many people don't realise that the internet and new media can help you find information about services and interests, or that it’s possible to use Skype to see and hear a friend or relative on the other side of the world at no cost.”
