Model School shine in mini-football clash at Richmond

The Carmarthen Town AFC Schools Mini-Football Programme continued on Friday night with a half-time match during the Carmarthen v Port Talbot Welsh Premier League match.
I am grateful to Phil Grice for the following match report -
Model School 4 Johnstown Primary 0
A plucky young Johnstown Primary team played their hearts out on Friday, but went down by four goals to nil to to an older Model School team.
Model were a very impressive outfit, sklifully passing the ball amongst themselves, but Johnstown kept them at bay for much of the first half, with Alex Bartlett having a sterling game for Johnstown, going close to scoring only to be thwarted by some excellent goalkeeping from Model's goalie.
But Model had both a height and and an age superiority which in the end showed.
Two goals came in the first half, and then two more came in the second. These were all well taken goals which gave Johnstown's goalkeeper no chance.
Taylor Williams and Daniel Owen both scored twice for Model and although Johnstown came close to scoring in the dying minutes, the match ended as a 4-0 win for the talented Model School team.
This was one of the Carmarthen Town AFC School's Programme mini football matches played at half-time during their main League matches and the large crowd for the Town v Port Talbot match cheered the youngsters on - and gave the refereee as much stick as in the main match!
A slide show presentation of the schools match can be seen on the Carmarthen Town AFC website.
