New sales space opens in St Clears

A new indoor community shared retail and function room has opened in St. Clears.
The old R & M vegetable store now known as The Mezzanine is offering local people the opportunity to use the shared space to sell local products.
The function room can be hired and used for events and activities including business meetings or community based activities including yoga and dance classes.
There are six indoor tables on offer and four outside tables if the weather is fine.
The owner of the property, Stella Griffiths, said:“This community-based initiative should breath new life into St. Clears and offer much needed start up opportunities especially for young people.
“I have lived and breathed St. Clears having served the community here for most of my working life.
"We were a vibrant community full of givers.
"This is my way of giving something back.”
The Mezzanine already has a Montessori training centre on the upper floor, which has been attracting students from across Wales.
The Mezzanine is also home to the photographic history of St Clears with a permanent exhibition space.
Stella added: “The development of the ground floor seemed like the next logical step.”
Stella has been a very active member of the community and has plenty of business experience.
She said: “In these difficult times we must be proactive and make things happen.
"We cannot simply stand back and wait for the town to fall down around us.”
Tables will be allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis and must be booked one week in advance.
If anyone would like to book a table on a daily or weekly basis they should call 01994 231776
