An Antarctic team will drill through ice in an attempt to recover two cases of vintage Scotch whisky lost a century ago.
The McKinlay and Co whisky was abandoned by British polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton when his 1909 expedition hit trouble.
Whyte & Mackay, the drinks group which now owns the brand, has asked for a sample of the 100-year-old Scotch for a series of tests that could decide whether to relaunch it.
