Llandeilo’s Got Talent is returning

Llandeilo’s Got Talent is returning following the success of last year’s Talent Search.
The Festival of Senses Committee intends to repeat the quest to seek out the best talent that the town and surrounding area has to offer.
Always seeking to bring a new element to the annual Festival of the Senses, last year the committee advertised and hosted Llandeilo’s Got Talent and auditioned 12 acts.
Four winners were selected, Menna Priestland Jones, Carys Jones, Shelley Thomas and the unique girl-band ‘Sticky Vinyl.’
The winning acts performed on the main stage of the Festival in King’s Street on the Saturday evening in front of huge crowds, before receiving their cash prizes.
The search for further talented vocalist / musicians is now underway once more. Posters are now appearing around the town inviting locals to enter this year’s Llandeilo’s Got Talent by firstly emailing to register their interests and to explain the nature of the act.
Auditionees will receive a prompt email response which will explain the next steps in the process. Having registered, they will be invited to an audition night in The Angel on Friday October 5 from 7pm. They will perform before a panel of judges, which this year includes Head of Programming for S4C.
This will be an entertaining evening for which family/ friends of auditionees can buy tickets on the door for just £3 which includes entry, nibbles and a licensed bar downstairs.
This year, organisers are looking for two acts who will win prizes of £100 and £50. The two winning acts will perform live on the outdoor main stage in the heart of the town on Saturday November 24.
To register your act and find out more information contact Neil on festivaltalent@gmail.com stating the nature of your talent / act. You will receive a prompt reply. Croeso i ddiddanwyr Cymreig.
The Festival will run from Thursday November 22 to Sunday November 25.
The Llandeilo Town Council Lights Switch On is on Friday November 23 with late night shopping, discounts and a visit from Santa.
The weekend entertainment will take place on the King’s Street stage as well as in the Civic Hall, where there will be children’s acts.
