Pupils from Stagecoach, the leading West Wales theatre arts school, will be making their Disneyland Paris debuts this summer.
A lucky 25 pupils from Stagecoach Carmarthen and Haverfordwest are getting the chance to ‘Dance the dream’ at Disneyland Paris.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity. Our pupils have worked really hard to win the opportunity to perform at Disneyland Paris and, as you can imagine, they are all thrilled to bits,” said Liane Evans, principal of Stagecoach Theatre Arts Carmarthen and Haverfordwest.
“The performance takes place in July, but it has been a long road getting to this point.
“We rehearsed and prepared four audition tapes for Disney back in November.
“We auditioned to be part of the famous parade that travels through the park with all the Disney characters.
“And we also submitted an audition for a stage performance in the Disneyland Paris theme park.
“We are over the moon to have received news this week that we have successfully passed the audition process and will be j…

TIME WAITS FOR NO MAN - AND NEITHER DOES THE 8.28 TO CARDIFF.
For decades, the possibility of time travel has fascinated scientists, writers, film makers and people like me who have never been able to grasp the concept of the Space Time Continuum.
But, then, I’ve never been able to grasp the Offside Rule; Piers Morgan’s rise to fame; and the bottle of tomato ketchup that the last person to use failed to close properly, allowing the red stuff to escape and form congealed, sticky streaks down the sides, like lava pouring from Mount Vesuvius.
Although some great books and exciting films and TV series have featured characters able to travel back and forth through time, it’s always been a fantasy.
Until now...

19,000 bowls of cawl served on St David's Day!

More than 19,000 bowls of hearty Welsh Cawl was served up in Carmarthenshire schools to mark St David’s Day.
A delicious menu of homemade beef cawl and bread roll with cheese was served up to primary and secondary school children across the county on Monday (March 2).
Healthy eating mascot Dylan the Dragon made a special visit to Saron Primary school, Ammanford, to tell children about the importance of healthy eating and as a treat the youngsters were given a traditional Welshcake, Teisen Lap and custard.
The meal is one of many themed menus put on throughout the school year by Carmarthenshire’s Catering Department.
Catering Services Manager Sandra Weigel said: “We know how important good food is for a child’s development. Great quality, freshly prepared food is a vital part of the school day; children who eat a balanced, healthy diet are more likely to be alert in class and have more energy to enjoy an active lifestyle.”
School meals cost £2.20 a day, and pupils enjoy a main meal and pudd…
