New look for Kidwelly centre

Kidwelly Youth Centre will soon have a fresh, youthful look thanks to the work carried out by young people.
Members of the Youth Club wanted to revamp the centre to make it a more welcoming environment for young people aged 11-25 to develop their skills.
The Cabin-in-the-park is home to the youth club and a drop-in information service on Mondays and Thursdays.
To achieve the new look, the young people gave up their free time to work on various fundraising events to raise money for materials.
With the support of Carmarthenshire Youth Service and the Youth Offending Team, the young people are well underway to achieving their goal.
Youth Leader, Roger Wilson said:“The young people have been very motivated and have committed to every aspect of the fundraising process to get to where they are now.
“They now have a sense of ownership over the establishment and we look forward to welcoming new members to the centre.”
The Centre initiates a wide range of projects and activities that include art, drama, dance, health education, sport, outdoor pursuits, charity fundraising, community work and international exchanges.
The young people and staff would like to thank everyone who supported them.
