Wanderers footballers on song

My old pal Phil Grice has kindly submitted the following junior football match report -
Carmarthen Wanderers 14 KRUF 4
Having only narrowly beaten KRUF by one goal at home two weeks earlier, Carmarthen Wanderers went into this match with some trepidation.
But they were 1000 up at half time. Playing magnificient flowing fottball, the Wanderers demolished a woeful KRUF team in the first half of this match.
Then the Wanderers relaxed in the second half in which the Wanderers and KRUF each scored four goals. This was a record both for the club and possibly the league in that striker Craig Evans netted eight goals. Two other goalscorers for the Wanderers scored hat-tricks - Jamie Davies added the three to his two last week, and Richard Jones scored the other three.
Next Saturday, the two Carmarthen Division Three teams, the Wanderers and Johnstown United, meet on Penllwyn Park at what promises to be the match of the season with Johnstown heading the league table and Wanderers fourth. Kick off is 2.15pm.
