Children have a blast at Pembrey Library

Children had a blast at Pembrey Library last half-term at a free craft event.
They enjoyed some space-themed stories before launching themselves into decorating their own rockets.
The youngsters, accompanied by parents or grandparents, were really creative and had fun with glitter and glue.
Feedback following the event was really positive with everyone expressing their appreciation for the activity.
One mother said: "Both my girls really enjoyed this morning's crafts. Thank you to the library staff for a fun-filled morning!" Another added: "What a great idea - my children loved the stories and creating their own rockets afterwards."
One grandmother said it was great to have something to do on their doorstep, and another commented that it was good for giving young and old people the opportunity to do things together.
Carmarthenshire’s education executive board member Cllr Gwynne Wooldridge said: “These activities are always very popular, and it’s very heartening to hear such positive comments. Our Children’s Libraries are always very busy holding events to encourage more children and young people to visit and foster a love of books and reading.”
