Quick guide to what's happening at the Carmarthenshire Eisteddfod tomorrow

Brass Bands from Ystradgynlais and Cwmtawe will be among the first competitors to take the stage when competitions begin in earnest at the Carmarthenshire National Eisteddfod's pink Pavilion tomorrow morning (Saturday).
The Brass Bands Section 4 competition will be first up on the main stage.
They will be competing for cash prizes and the Ivor Jarvis Cup.
Competitors: Band Pres Cwmbrân; Seindorf Arian yr Oakeley; Band Ieuenctid Abertyleri a’r Cylch; Band Ieuenctid Cwmtawe; Band Bro Morgannwg; Band Arian Oakdale; Band Cyhoeddus Ystradgynlais.
The result of the competition, sponsored by Llanelli's TAD Builders Ltd, will be announced at 15.20.

The Official Opening of the Eisteddfod takes place at 11am at the Literary Pavilion.
There will be a short speech by Meirion Evans to welcome everyone to the 2014 Eisteddfod and to the Literary Pavilion.

The Carmarthenshire Eisteddfod Clog Dancing Demonstration which takes place at 11am at the Dance stage has been sponsored by the combined Masonic Lodges of Llanelli - Sant Elli, Sant Teilo and Trevor Kelway.
It is a chance to enjoy local children showing what they learnt in the clog dancing workshops with Leusa Williams of Dawnswyr Talog.

Students of the history of Welsh education will be interested in the 'Tribute to Miss Olwen Williams' at 11:30 at the Literary Pavilion.
Your can enjoy the children of Ysgol Gymraeg Dewi Sant, Llanelli, as they pay tribute to the school’s first headteacher, Miss Olwen Williams.

The Brass Bands Section 2 competition takes place at 15:30 in the Pavilion. Crwbin Brass Band from the Gwendraeth Valley will be flying the flag for the 'local' team.
Competitors: Seindorf Crwbin; Band Arian y Drenewydd; Band Tref Blaenafon; Band Awyrlu Sain Tathan; Band Dinas Caerdydd (Melingruffydd); Band Pres Ebbw Valley.
The result of this competition will be announced at 18.10.

Llanelli's Garry Nicholas has written the script for the show by Ysgol Berfformio Dyffryn Tywi Performing School - Y Wên Na Phyla Amser.
It takes place at 16:00 in the Theatr on The Maes.
It is a show that celebrates the life and work of DJ Williams, Fishguard.
Original songs for the performance have been composed by Mererid Hopwood, Tudur Dylan Jones and Euros Rhys Evans.

All eyes will be on the Pink Pavilion at the Carmarthenshire National Eisteddfod this weekend, with plenty of treats in store for lovers of good singing.
On Saturday, August 2, some of the top stars from Wales will be celebrating 100 years of Welsh songs.
Some of the most famous Welsh songs of the past century will be performed by Burry Port hero John Owen-Jones, Carmarthen’s Wynne Evans and other soloists including Shan Cothi and Kizzy Crawford.
Saturday sees the start of the choral competitions on The Maes (the Eisteddfod field at Festival Fields at Llanelli’s Millennium Castal Park).
In the contest for mixed choir with more than 45 members, local interest will centre on Lleisiau’r Strade.
They will be up against Côr Bro Meirion, Côr CF1, Côr Llanddarog a'r Cylch and Côr Crymych a’r Cylch.
On Sunday, Lleisiau Hardd will be flying the flag for Llanelli in the competition for choir with up to 35 members.
They will be required to present a programme of popular music up to 12 minutes long, to include a piece by a Welsh composer.
Lleisiau Hardd will be competing against Côr Eifionydd, Cywair, Côr Seingar, Lleisiau’r Llan, Genod Gwyrfai, Bechgyn Bro Taf, Côr Llunsain and Côr Tonic.
Tuesday will see the competition for pensioners’ choir for 60-plus and more than 20 members.
Competitors will be Côr y Mochyn Du, Cantorion Bro Nedd and Côr Pensiynwyr Aberteifi.
There’s an extra special treat for lovers of choral singing on Thursday night, August 6, when the Eisteddfod Choir feature in a concert in the Pavilion.
The masses ranks of the mixed choir have been conducted in rehearsals by Llanelli’s Eifion Thomas and Catrin Hughes.
The concert will be an opportunity to enjoy works by two French composers from the 19th century. Both are sacred works, one is the Mass to St. Cécile by Gounod, and the other is a Requiem Mass by Faure.
Solists will be Fflur Wyn and Trystan Llyr Griffiths and Gwion Thomas.
