The busy Burry Port-based firm Amcanu is looking to fill key vacancies.

Purchasing Manager (£25,000 to £35,000)
A self-motivated manager with good communication skills and manufacturing experience to liaise with our designers and suppliers, source and procure the most cost effective materials, analyse costs and manage stock. Technical engineering experience would be advantageous.
Production Controller (£20,000 to £30,000) This role requires a good communicator that can liaise with team leaders, manage schedules and overtime, work to tight timeframes, ensure our quality standards are being met, plan deliveries and logistics and generally maintain optimum productivity.
Mechanical Design Engineer (£25,000 to £35,000) An enthusiastic designer to further expand the skills of our existing design team – someone to work with customers to develop briefs and take designs from concept to bill of materials, then liaising with purchasing and production teams to see projects through to completion. Mechanical design experience using 3D modelling and sheet metal knowledge are necessary.

Amcanu is a sheet metal manufacturer with specialist expertise in building world-class industrial enclosures. We’re now looking for some new blood to join our team and support us during an exciting period of growth and development.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic designer to further expand the skills of our existing design team – someone to work with customers to develop briefs and take designs from concept to bill-of-materials, then liaising with purchasing and production teams to see projects through to completion. Mechanical design experience using 3D modelling and sheet metal knowledge are necessary.
Key Responsibilities
It is expected that the position holder will be experienced in 3D CAD design. The position holder will be expected to:
Meet with customers and develop detailed specifications.
Understand technical and regulatory requirements.
Produce 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor and Radan CAM.
Use good design practice to maximise production efficiencies.
Produce bills-of-materials and liaise with purchasing manager.
Liaise with production to value engineer products and processes.
Work with the MD to develop skills and identify further commercial opportunities.
And anything else that is agreed.
